Good morning,
How do you renew your license and how do I know when mine expires and my husbands?
Thank you,

Most amateur licenses are good for ten years...but time has a habit of going quickly and all of the sudden you need to renew.

The FCC has a database that is used for all radio licensing, including the Amateur Radio Service.
They call it the Universal Licensing System (ULS), which can be found here:
https://www.fcc.gov/wireless/universal-licensing-system

To check on the status of any radio license, you can search that database:
https://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSearch/searchLicense.jsp

Just enter your call sign and your license should pop up.
Here's my license info, which shows the expiration date as 04/09/2032
Notice there is an FRN (FCC Registration Number) associated with my license. This is kind of like a user ID for working with the ULS.
You should have one assigned to your license and you will need this to modify or renew your license.

To make changes to your license, login at this page:
https://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsEntry/licManager/login.jsp

You will need your FRN and your password. Uh oh, you may not know your password.
Also, be aware that the FCC may or may not have an email address for you in their database.
They currently require one but older licenses may not have it.

The FCC says to contact Tech Support to reset your password:
https://www.fcc.gov/wireless/available-support-services

At this point, I wish you good luck with resetting your password.
It may not be much fun, but follow the directions on the FCC website.
It looks like they have recently changed their website and they are treating your email address as the login.
