Is there a web page with a good tutorial on interfacing radios/TNC's for beginners?  I am just in the process of trying to put together some equipment to work the Echo bird, and I am really on square one as to the basics of this aspect of the hobby.

So, looking for some information to review and educate me on just what I need.  I'd like to hear I can use my old Packet box as a starter, but I have no idea.
