[Hammarlund] Down Sizing

Too bad we're not neighbors. I like keeping old radios working. I hope
your stuff finds a new home, and a good one, too, where it will be
used and not just sit on a shelf in a storage room. 

I would eventually like to get my hands on a (preferably working)
HQ-180A or 170 RX and an HX-50 TX. That's my first station I had when
I got my general class license. I actually ran the ECARS net on some
Saturdays with that old setup. The RX was more or less stable after a
90 minute warm-up. I never had issues with TX frequency drift, except
at first when I had a horrible chirp. My Elmer W3RNL put in a VR tube
for the VFO power supply and it was as good as a crystal after that.
