[Hammarlund] Bathtub Capacitors

 Bob, I replaced mine with ordinary electrolytics with no problem. If you want to preserve the original appearance, you can cut off the back of the bathtub with a Dremel cutting wheel, remove the innards and install a new cap inside.

      Question for the group.  I am looking at restoring a SP-600 and there are, I believe, seven "bathtub" caps in it.  Is there anything special about this design, or can they be replaced with ordinary electrolytics ?
