    Aha, the article I remember is the "Souping the Super-Pro" by 
Geisler. However, the others look familiar. For anyone with an 
AR-88, please don't convert it to miniatures as suggested, it has 
very good performance as designed. One can replace the mixer with 
a 6SB7Y. straight across but to get any real benefit you need to 
change the bias. However, if you can't find a 6SA7 it will work OK.
