I spent much of my professional life in network broadcasting
and much of the rest in electronic metrology and have the habit
of keeping track of time.
BTW, somewhere I remember reading an article on figuring out
the propagation delay applying to WWV and WWVH. WWVB, and the
late, lamented WWVL are virtually all ground wave to the
propagation time is fairly stable (was phase stable on VL) which
it is not on the HF stations. For accurate time the HF stations
must be averaged over a long period of time, days at least.
Essentially cycle counting over a very long period. The
transmitters are controlled to a very accurate standard.
Also, details of antennas are available on the web.
