David,
You are correct and that was a typo; the transmitter is a T-102 and the receiver is a R-104. My S-119 line came with the matching twin 4CX300A amplifier with Reliant branding that I have never found a manual to match. It is a neat looking setup.
TMC made some neat stuff and there was some Hammarlund engineering cross-pollination. I am not familiar with the model you describe but TMC did make a lot of different interesting pieces of gear.

I've got a HQ-215, the bandspread is superb. (In days before 1970 we used the term "bandspread" usually to speak of an auxiliary tuning dial with a rotation reducing gearworks attached to the shaft of a small value capacitor which was in parallel with the main tuning capacitor which effectively reduced the kHz change per rotation of the tuning knob. With the HQ-215, not only was the tuning very spread out but unusually for the times, it was uniform from band to band.
Roger, did Eldico come out with a T-104 transmitter? I think you mistyped T-102, but since, I keep on trying to find the model number of the Technical Materials Corporation 1970 to 1980s vintage receiver with phase lock loop circuitry and early vintage light emitting diodes in a red colored faceplate that I frustratingly worked on for hours on SS STELLA LYKES/WPHZ. It was part of an RCA 5 kW HF radio telephone station on the ship. I could never get the PLL to lock. I would have loved to get it working.

I also have a HQ-215 and it is currently paired with a Eldico T-104 (“inspired” by the Collins 32S-1) because I got an extra T-104 with my Eldico S-119 setup.
The HQ-225 is the shortwave version of the 215 and the only one I have heard of belongs to a ham in WI.

Hi, David, good question re the HQ210. I'm not sure about that model number, but I do know that the HQ-215 was the last of the line, and is (uniquely) all solid state. I'm glad to (finally) own one, having followed the design history of the HQ line. It has Collins mechanical filters, and is actually compatible with the Collins S-Line. Pretty handsome, too, like it's family before it. You can enjoy searching the I-net about it, as we use the new technology to learn more about the old. As far as your nice wish for Hammarlund's longevity, welcome to the community... we are the custodians. (((73))) Les
