Although I am not too sure of the length, I DO know that standard rack screws are 12-24 
thread. As far as I am concerned, length is not too important, as long as they are long 
enough to "reach". I believe that all I have here are about 1" in length.

I can get some types at the local hardware store, but I believe the original type was 
filister-head, and most also included a dress-washer.

Some commercial rack-mounted equipment used a binder-head screw.

But in every case that I have had experience with, the screw SIZE was 12-24.

If I am wrong on this, I am sure someone here will correct me. ;-)
