Hi Russ,
	We've got some good quality SP-600 manuals on The Hammarlund Historian 
website, <http://www.hammarlund.info/hamrmanu.html>  I've also got the 
66 pg service manual (from Andy Moorer's site I think), it's abt 28Mb, 
so may not go by email, but you could probably get it directly from his 
site <http://www.jamminpower.com/main/sp600.html>
	The S-meter is measuring the AVC voltage indirectly, is the AVC working 
properly?  Check the resistors between the zero adj. pot and V-11.  Has 
the RF deck been rebuilt?  Several bypass caps (BBOD's unless your s/n 
is above abt 17,000) in there that will draw the AVC line down.
