I used to get it whenever anything kicked on, like the fridge, furnace,
etc. I'm sure a heater would do it as well. Definitely better off using the
130v tap that Les mentioned, unless you have very low line voltage (low by
today's 120-125v averages). The regulator tube is another good tip. Best
way to check it is to substitute a known good tube in its place.

Which reminds me, I really need to check the level here before I do too
much. Have only done some light listening on the R-390A, 75A-4, and an old
Meissner Traffic Master so far with indoor aerials. The Super Pros are
hibernating under the stairs.
