Gentlemen,  i have been using this receiver  for a few months now.  As i have written before about the overload problem, i will give you an update.  Voltage checks around the AVC area  are good.  I see there was a mod done in the audio adj pot,  it is no longer  wired as a rheostat.  This pot now affects the 
overall RF gain.    RF gain pot can now be all the way down and still signals  heard.  Pot is good.  
 i used to be able to control overload  with the  RF gain.  Now allthe way down and still hear signals.
So something else has failed.  Thanks for input...Russ. wb3fau
