Tnx Roy for the suggestion. I was thinking along a similar line
to draw up the wafers on Auto-Cad. It was a feature where selected
parts can be rotated a specified nr. of degrees.

One technique for this problem (you are NOT the first!) is to make a copy of the schematic and with a thin marker or pencil, draw the switch in the position/mode that’s giving trouble. Or make two copies and cut out the switch rotor(s) from one and tape them onto the other copy in the right position.
Than you have some chance of following the circuit, Colored pencil or thin highlighter may help. Pink for bias, red for B+, blue for ground green for signs … or what have you.
I used to work on automatic component test machines - the thing had a gadzilion reed relays that did all sorts of things depending on which of the maybe 12 different test modes/tests the thing could get into. This was at the only way I could follow the thing if a fault showed up, I had one schematic for each mode/test.
If anyone has or sees a Teradyne T-347 for sale, let me know. (It might have my name inside.)
