[Hammarlund] Rumors About W8DBF

The thing about the stents is that they seem to multiply!  However, having them is a LOT better than a CABG ("by pass" operation).  I sure wish that they were available 12-years ago when I had a quad-CABG (4-arteries bypassed).  But, since then, I have acquired a total of 8-stents in 6-sessions.

Fortunately, I have never had a heart attack!  Every time the doctors have corrected the situation that would result in a heart attack before one occurred.

The hospital staff knows when one is ready to go home when that person starts complaining about the food and starts chasing the nurses!

Hi All,

Yes, the rumors are true about me having had a heart attack on March 6,
2014. The descending coronary artery was 99% blocked. They put in two
stints, end to end, to cover the blocked area. All the other arteries were
fine. Fortunately for me!

I was back home the evening of March 8th. They sure do not keep you like
they used to do! A good thing, at least in most ways! Especially the food!
To call it 'bad' would be way way too kind! After eating some of that stuff,
things I normally would not eat even if starvation was around the corner,
tasted good!

The doctors told me that I now qualify for the Ginnis Book Of World Records,
since I have now out lived that famous "cat with nine lives"! Forget the
fame, I am just happy to still be here and functional!

My heartfelt thanks to all of you who wrote, and called, my daughter Shelly.
She and I both appreciate your warm wishes and good thoughts VERY much. It
is nice to have caring friends! You guys, and ladies, are the BEST! Thanks
so much -

Duane, W8DBF
