[Hammarlund] blocking capacitor

Hi all,
Still moving forward with the newly fixed HQ-180. Have had some
encouraging comments on the alignment procedure. Along with finding that
there are some manuals indicating wrong alignment settings. My manual
looks to be correct thank goodness. A couple of comments were made as
to needing a blocking capacitor on my signal generator which the
generator manual also calls for. What am I supposed to use? Should it be
a .001 mfd,, or .01 mfd. Am I even close to my guess? What type of cap
does it need to be or is that not critical? I assume I can just solder
an alligator clip on one end and hook the signal generator on the other
end and I should be good to go. Correct?

Thanks-Bob-W0YBS
