[Hammarlund] HX-50 snapping noise

Yes,
You are correct. 162 A B and C.I replaced 162 A first. All worked as
usual. I then replaced 162 C next. This is when it all went south. I
replaced that cap before 162 B only due to layout issues to make it look
nicer under the chassis and access to wires. Each time I replaced each
cap of course I left the other ones hooked to the old can until I got to
them in the next step. Hope this helps. I have been doing some reading
on how to troubleshoot now that it is very problematic. I read that I
could pull the power tube and the rectifier tube and turn it on again
and see if it blows fuses. This might check to see if my 6DQ5 or
rectifier might have been the problem. Im sure all of you will know
better and am hoping for your suggestions.

Thanks Bill
