[Hammarlund] SP-600 Signal Level chart

I'm troubleshooting the detector and af stages of an SP-600 using the signal
level chart at page 131 of TM11-851 as a guide.

 

I can see why the various versions of the receiver may have had different
sensitivities to produce the standard 20 V rms across a 600 Ohm load, but I
am completely puzzled why the first three lines of the chart (pin 5 of V17,
pin 2 of V16b and pin 1 of V11) should be different. So far as I have been
able to determine, those three stages are identical in all versions of the
SP-600.

 

Anybody got a clue?
