[Hammarlund] HQ-180 alignment w/rewound coil

Hi all,
Been kinda quiet on the reflector so thought I would throw this out 
there. As you recall, I rewound my 40 meter coil which turned out 
surprisingly well. Had to buy a signal generator that would put out a 
60khz tone so I could do a complete alignment on the HQ-180. Didnt have 
that on my other signal generator.  Did an alignment after receiving 
many tips, mentioning that the wrong data was in print in some of the 
manuals. But, after reading the numerous notes and sifting through it 
all, the alignment went quite well. I think Im getting the hang of this 
stuff. The receiver is working quite well now and I have hopes it 
remains that way for quite some time.

Now, on to the next project that has been sitting, waiting for the new 
transformer from Heyboer. Dont know if any of you remember, but, the 
transformer in my HX-50 went south so I ordered a new one from Heyboer 
and they mentioned that it will be built next week. Keeping my fingers 
crossed that this transplant goes as well as the HQ-180.
