That is great Wes, mine has been chugging away now for about 6 or 7 years.
I had a ground on the filament lead on V101 on the RF deck come loose after
awhile and since that thing is so hard to remove and replace I just used
about a 22 gauge wire and put it in the hole with the tube on top and
wrapped the other end to a screw on the deck. Works fine! You will need to
do an alignment possibly. On all my bands accuracy is within half of the
smallest gap between kilocycles.

I have just finished replacing 32 self-healing foil capacitors that replaced
the feared BBODs. This time I used .01uFd ceramic discs and an Orange Drop
metal foil cap for C102.?Previously the RF Deck was recapped with .01 uFd
ceramics.? The radio still works! Now I can rest easier about the
reliability of the radio.? FWIW the coiled leads made disassembly and
reassembly very easy.? Now to play it and see if there is any difference to
be heard or seen.
Wes
