[Hammarlund] SP600 almost reworked

Thought I would give an update about my SP600JX26 that is almost (I don't think they are ever totally completed) finished being reworked. It is
working beautifully with only a short antenna.  After re-capping (twice) and replacing a weak 12AU7, the audio still didn't sound the best and the
AVC was decaying too fast for my preference. Audio mods were installed:  C143 and C149 increased to .022uF, added .01uF 630V from T7 (pin 8)
to ground (pin 6). Much better sound. Then added a 25V Line Transformer (Common-Violet 2 watts) from the 600 ohm output to my 8 ohm
speaker. Really good now.  Next added a .047uF to AVC terminals on rear of chassis, and that helped my AVC decay slow a bit.
I am delighted with the performance of this radio.  Well worth all the time and effort and expense to fix it up. Hopefully my experience will help
some more SP600's be brought back to life.  Thanks to everybody that gave me tips and advice in the process.
Wes
