One clue to the repro panels that were, maybe still are, being sold on Ebay
is that the HQ-129-X is missing the dash before the X.
While the panels are very nice, certainly nicer that a scratched up faded
one, it is one difference. There is another difference I noted but memory
fails me as to what it is. I'm really pleased how my HQ-129-X turned out
after powder coating the bezel and cabinet. It looks like new.
Now if I could silk screen the antenna comp markings on the bezel it would
look even better.

Thank you Bill and Jon, the lettering is all white. I
knew the first ones had some red lettering on them. Its
possible this is a replacement panel but if so its pretty
well done. I have a couple of other questions about this
receiver but will hold them for another post.
