[Hammarlund] HQ140 - really *LOW* sensitivity

This is a follow-up to my E-mail a couple weeks ago.

First of all, thanks to all of you who offered suggestions of things to look at, I appreciate them. I looked at each suggestion. Unfortunately, none of these was what was wrong with my HQ140X.  

Quite by accident, one time, I had left the antenna disconnected and I noticed the same characteristics of the sensitivity problem.

So, after tracing through the circuitry some more, it turns out, the secondary of the antenna transformer for each band position, is open to C55 which points to a problem in the bandswitch (S5-5F).  The bottom of the wafer of the switch, down close to the chassis where it’s hard to see, I can see that the wafer cracked and is broken.

Now all I have to do is figure a way to fix the switch.
