Thanks for all the great info from everyone.  Guess it was just a short between the headsets on my part.  It was mostly recapped except for the 10uf cans and they were all bad.  Next to check the hard to get to places.  Something tells me there are many more old caps to be changed.  I know this was a great old rig and I aim to make it that way again.  Look me up on qrz  WB4VFN and you will see my R390a next to my BTA500MX transmitter.  I use it in the winter on 1885 AM.  Love to restore old rigs.  Thanks again to all.  73  Rich
