[Hammarlund] Super Pro receivers

All of the recent discussion relative to Super Pro receivers prompts me to 
offer that I have a BC-779 looking for a home. Too many radios (there is 
such a point) too little time (reality sinking in)

Had it thrust upon me many years ago as a project and it has not advanced 
beyond that.

It had the 6SL7 mods done to it---whatever that was about---plus several 
other like possibly a mixer change and a product detector? Just 
semi-informed guessing on what was attempted.

All things considered it looks to be too good for a parts radio and has not 
been sufficiently hacked to discourage reverse engineering to original 
equipment. Wiring harness looks intact. Panel is good with only one small 
hole that can be removed. I think most knobs are original. The S meter is 
there. Looks like all the important parts are intact and good condition. Not 
a rust bucket for sure.

If I were going to do it I think I would just replace all tube sockets with 
new ceramic ones and start over

If there is anyone interested please holler and I will post some photos, see 
if we can make medicine. XYL and I are on a vendetta to clean house, maybe 
move to a more senior friendly one story house.
