Anything will hear "well" on 10M when its wide open. OTOH with the 10dB AM 
SNR over 3 microvolts you will be listening to noise while others are 
working stations. A decent external preamp is another way of overcoming 
that.

A lossless feedback broadband preamp of about 10dB gain with a 1.5dB NF 
could even be internal but likely would need the RF gain pot turned down on 
the BCB thru 80 or 40M to minimize overload of the 6K8.
