HI Gang!!
Just so everybody knows, that HXQ-300 did and does exist. I got it
in a load of gear that I bought in Arkansas from John Bess almost 20
years ago. It was very close to the KW-2000 and very close in many
respects to the Collins KWM-2. I sold that to Charlie Jedlicka N9SOR
and I'm sure that he still has it. The front panel paint and silk
screening was not in good shape when he got it and unless he's had it
restored, it's probably VERY fragile and occupying a shelf behind
glass. I seem to recall factory docs that were with it, but my memory
is getting fuzzy at that point. But I do remember that what Dave says
about the architecture of the radio is correct. It would have been a
nice rig. I did have a the matching power supply/speaker as well, I
think. Maybe Charlie will correct my fuzzy memory.
