[Hammarlund] HQ-129-X dial question

Richard & Bill,

My HQ-129X is SN#6110, does not have 15M on the bandspread, and has
part numbers 6050 on the main tuning and 6051 on the bandspread.

I bought it from an antique wireless flea market for $35 figuring
that if it worked as bad as it looked, I would use it for parts.
After bringing it up slowly, I was shocked as to how well it worked
- even on the 16/13M SWL bands.

Since then, I have re-capped it, re-tubed it, and done several mods
(6SG7 RF, IF AVC, AF re-bias, & AF nfb). I did not align it because
it worked so well, but I am tempted to use the spectrum
analyzer/tracking generator to check the passband, and align it if
needed.

Finally, I purchased the repro panel and had the cabinet and dial
bezel powder coated flat black in a mock-wrinkle finish. I now
looks as good as it plays.

Last chore is to get the meter repaired or find a replacement.
