Chuck,
I am pretty sure it is Issue 2 for your SN but I can't find the list I have that breaks it down, hopefully someone else has the exact info. Issue 4 is for >3300. The Issue 2 scan on edebris is of good quality so I would start by downloading it from www.edebris.com You will also find some of the IF transformer internal capacitor values on the HQ-180 schematic so I would download a HQ-180 manual also as you may well need this information.
One thing I am pretty sure your receiver has is the open construction mica caps in the 2n'd IF transformers. I have one HQ-170 from the same era as yours and I had to disable and replace these caps with modern dipped mica types because the capas built into the transformer bases develop leakage and short. Later versions used sealed caps and do not have this problem. Your particular receiver may be OK but if any of these short you might as well replace them all at once.
