    They should be clear. The yellowing is from some 
chemical effect, probably lee is correct that UV exposure is 
part of it. I have a RX where the yellow is across part of 
one window, evidently exposed to sunlight for a long period 
at some point. I know of no way to remove the yellow, I 
think the stain runs the depth of the plastic. OTOH, you can 
probably find sheet plastic of the right sort to make new 
ones.
