You may need lots of luck to get those knobs off.  I had one like it and 
could not get them off.  I wanted to get to the dials because they were 
warped to straighten them so the dials would work right.  Finally traded 
it off for something that I wanted as much.

They are good receivers and if you sweep align them they perform up 
there with the best of that design.  Same goes for the HQ 140X.
