[Hammarlund] Band Switch Wafer for HQ-145X

I've got an HQ-145X with the front band switch wafer, I believe it is called wafer S1d by the schematic, that has carbon tracked and burned. What I believe happens is that the rear contact of the wafer feeds B+ to the 1st RF Amp and when dirt collects on the switch it arc's to the front wafer switch contact when that switch hits a terminal that is grounded. This is the 3rd one I've seen with this problem. Not a great design.

Before I scrap this receiver for parts, does anyone have a band switch with the switch wafers OK?
