Do you know if it ever worked right after the restoration, Darryl?
I'd try what Jim suggested first since it's quick and easy and may
solve the mystery. If hat doesn't work, time to start signal tracing.
One of the problems with 'complete' restorations is that some folks
shotgun the entire radio, replacing all the caps, bad resistors, and
whatever else all in one sitting (or, at least, without testing as
they go). This can introduce a problem as simple as mis-wiring or a
new component that was bad from the factory. Even new tubes that test
good can be a problem, as odd as that may sound.
If only the electrolytics were replaced, you could have an open
coupling cap in one of the stages.
Good luck getting it sorted out, it's a nice little radio when working
properly.
