This horse has long beaten to death in various boatanchor groups. Some 
claim that they had their arms into this stuff daily with no ill effect.
Just be careful and dispose the innards in a ziplock bag. In Germany 
small amounts up to 500ml (about 1/8 of a gallon) can be disposed at the 
quarterly hazmat collection.
I hope there are similar ways to dispose it safely in your state as well.
