[Hammarlund] HX-500 Extreme Restoration need

I always admired the HX-500 transmitter so jumped at the chance to pick
one up a number of years ago, but unfortunately it contained a nasty
surprise. A previous owner had badly damaged the 60 kc balanced
modulator transformer and shoved the remains back into the can,
disconnected. I've put some photos of the transformer on the web, if
you'd like to take a look:

How anyone managed to do that is beyond me. At any rate, the two
secondaries are intact, but the primary is open circuit, and the paper
core and slug are damaged to the point that they aren't reusable. So
I need to either find a parts donor HX-500 (yeah, I know, dream on...)
or make a replacement for T1, aka Hammarlund part number M42170-1.

Given the options, I suspect I'll end up trying to wind a replacement.
To do so, I need a new form with the same size base, 6 terminals, and
the right core material for 60 kc (although maybe I could re-use this
base if necessary). One of the 60 kc IF coils from HQ-170 or 180 (p/n
42005-1) would seem to be the best choice - it can even be electrically
defective, as I'll have to remove all the wire from it anyhow.

So, does anyone happen to have a 60 kc IF transformer from a junker
Hammarlund receiver? (Or, better yet, a T1 from a junker HX-500?)

Thanks and 73,

Bob W9RAN
