[Hammarlund] HX-50 mods

Thanks I believe to Charlie N9SOR, we have access to the many 
modifications put out for the HX-50 transmitter.   I appreciate the time 
taken to supplement the skimpy diagrams with verbal descriptions of 
affected parts, as some of the mods amount to a complete re-wiring of 
complete circuits.

Audio mods include the addition of a matching transformer for the audio 
side of the balanced modulator, and I thought I'd ask to see if anyone 
has been there and done that, and might have a recommendation.  
Otherwise I'll post what I come up with for the benefit of those who may 
come later.    I might not have bothered to make these mods if not for 
the fact that my HX-50 looks like it just came from the factory.  
Unfortunately it came early in  production (s/n 518) and definitely 
needed attention.

I can report that the relay mod is straightforward and well worth doing, 
if for no other reason than to get a normal PTT capability.
