[Hammarlund] HQ-170 factory "drift kit"

Hi Carl, et al,
I don't remember ever seeing (or hearing of, b4 this) a factory kit.
I've made the change to several HQ-170's to make them an "A", and probably
with an HQ-180. All that's done is (as has been said) to put in a small
6.3v fil. xfmr (ahead of the line switch) & rewire the filaments on the HF
osc. & mixer to stay on all the time. Plus convert to SS rectifiers. The
factory didn't even change the pwr xfmr part no., at least at first. Hardly
a $17 parts cost. I've even done it with an xfmr that would only handle the
osc. filaments, and that's almost as good.
One problem some folks might casue is using a power strip to turn the
rcvr on/off. That defeats the always on filaments and makes it drifty
again.
