Dear John and Doug,

  Good evening to you.
I found the schematics of BC-779 (would be?) at the following URL:
http://pub.ne.jp/bluemac/?entry_id=557032

Even though it is very old paper of the Japanese magazine in 1938, 
I sent a message to request to get the high resolution version of copy.

After getting reply, I will translate the interface pin specification of
voltage for you.
