I'd like to thank everyone for their help, I think I'm all set now although I'm still not 100% sure on the phasing control. I found the peak which at 455.3 at the 0.2 kc position and left it there to peak the other IF cans. I also got a good clear signal from the generator and lowered the RF control to make the adjustments more precise. On the phasing control I hooked up the scope and just made sure the null was at 0. There is no red dot on this one but I have another one with a red dot, I'm going to pull the cover on crystal filter assembly and see where the variable cap is when the dot is at top position.
