Both the HX-50 and the HX-50A had a bandswitch position for 160 meters. However, neither usually came with the 160 meter kit installed. After obtaining my HX-50A I was able to find a complete 160 meter kit and installed it.
The HX-50A was sent with an HX-50 manual that had a number of added sheets telling the differences between the HX-50 and HX-50A. There are 4 pages describing the differences then an additional 7 pages which are just the parts list for the HX-50A. I can scan the 4 pages of "changes" and make them available.
