[Hammarlund] HQ-170a intermittent RX problem on certain bands<100kc calibrator>

Hey Mike, how you been, its been a long time.

The 170 and any other Hammarlund using the 6C4 in that socket are known 
for problems. It often requires going thru several tubes to find a good 
one in that circuit, even NIB. You could also try a 6J6 with sections in 
parallel.
