[Hammarlund] HQ-129X paint

That makes sense. I usually use automotive paints for something that
will get somewhat rough handling and do those in the paint booth at the
shop and bake. Racks and benches get the epoxy treatment, nothing gets
thru that stuff; I use that on vehicle frames, my snow plow blade, etc

The guy at WalMart used a heat gun to dry the paint swatches as we were
zeroing in on the best match. Did it on the back of the bezel were the
original paint covered maybe 25%, was clean and looked like new. The
bezel wouldnt fit into his computer gizmo. It was a quiet day and he
really went out of his way to help. A couple of hours later I couldnt
even scratch it with a fingernail. In any event the 129X isnt going to
be getting any rough handling.

I'll apply the black wrinkle tomorrow and bake it with the heat gun. It
should be ready for the latex on Monday. Time will tell if its workable
or a disaster!

If it wasnt a sacrilege the cabinet would be a darker gray than the
panel and the bezel black. However I suspect that brown wasnt used very
much; I wish there was more info on this available.
