My 170a has an So-239 on it. I "believe" it's stock; primarily for the 6m
band, but you can jumper it to work on all bands.
I am a newbie when it comes to the Hammarlunds however, so I would not write
it in stone, hi !

Subject: [Hammarlund] HQ-170 antenna connector, i.f transformers

  Hi,
Many, maybe most or all, of the HQ-170 receivers I see have SO-239 antenna
connectors on them. Were these "factory original"? Or, were they added by
the receivers owners?

Also, is there somewhere published a diagram showing which i.f.
transformer can is which by "T" number? My HQ-170, s/n 5006, has some
problems and I am not certain I have the locations sorted out.
  Thanks,
  Jim
