When I was redoing my BC-779 I needed a couple of replacement knobs.   I had 
some of the right size, but without the pointer.  I picked up some  thin brass 
stock at a hardware store, cut a point on the brass and nickel plated  it.  
Glued it onto the knobs I had- can't tell it from original.  I  ultimately had 
to also do reproductions of the knurled thumbnuts which hold the  dust cover 
on.  Came out OK but the knurling is different.  Good luck  in your search, but 
try reproductions if you can't find the right parts.
