25 cycles is what came out of many Canadian wall outlets when that radio was
built. If the power transformer looks oversize it is probably a 25 cycle
unit which will work fine on todays power. The PC people changed it to Hertz
some decades ago but many/most vintage radio owners prefer the original
designators.
