[Hammarlund] HQ180 Alignment

Not sure if it's relevent, but I found in aligning a Hammarlund SP-200 that  
the initial alignment was off by about 75KHz at 15 MHz, given that 10 and 20 
MHz  were right on.  I slipped the dial relative to the capacitor, and found I  
could achieve accuracy of about 10 KHz at 15 MHz with 10 and 20 right on.   
So it might pay to play around with the tuning dial.
