I will keep my opinion Carl, you can keep yours, after all they are like
noses, everyone has one.

In your tour, did you see the conveyors that drop packages from one
level to another? It is about 3 ft. from one level to another. That
doesn't even take into account thing like the way they pack to over the
road trailers. The start in the front and work to the back stacking
packages on top of each other until they reach the top of the trailer.
How wold you like to have a teapot at the bottom with a 90 lb receiver
on top of it? They do this all the way to the back of the trailer right
up to the door.

Then when the trailer reaches its destination, the unloaders have metal
rods with hooks on the end to unlatch the doors. Whatever has settled
against the door will fall out. That can be more than 8 ft, and I
wouldn't want my receiver falling that distance, would you? Most of the
time the heavier packages are at the bottom or near it, but no
guarantees.

Being a union shop the package handlers will not tell anyone about a
fall like that, unless a boss sees it. That is one of the few things
that can get them in trouble. I do not ship anywhere near the volumn
you do, but have an account with DHL. They treat me as your account
manager with UPS does. But the big thing is they don't even balk at
paying for damage and UPS is and has always been a trial to collect
from. I have had to theaten them will small claims court on legitimate
claims. Not good customer service is it?
