But it was the big kid on the block in 1964. There was also a 12AT7 mixer 
mod back then followed by the 6DJ8/6922 and others. From what Ive learned 
using the 6ES8 in recent tests and mods in other radios Im very impressed. 
BUT the 7360 has bodacious signal handling capability. Luckily I have NOS 
spares which should outlast me.
