Hark and Ho Hum we go, light them up and be thankful that something about

you still goes glow in the dark without a battery having to be first

inserted! Please join us on Sunday July 27th for the HHI (Halligan's

Hallicrafters International) 20 meter Net. Coming to you live and uncensored

from a radio to be found somewhere between the floor and ceiling of your Ham

Shack! Drift in early, tred waves to remain +/-10 Hertz from the actual

operating frequency and stay late to avoid doing physical labor some in your

residence might insist that you do. After all, sometimes a guy just has to

rest his brain, even if it means sitting on it!

I think there is another Contest going on this weekend. I know, gee, what a

surprise! Nevertheless; despite the rattleing reverberations of ten thousand

thunders, the torrential falling rain causing the picnic table to float away

toward freedom, collapsing wire antennas who are allergic to the residue

from the acidic rain on the curled up leaves resulting in tensile strength

failure, atmospheric instability with QSB that comes and goes faster then a

handful of fake silver dollars at a one armed bandito, Hams who never ask

if the frequency is in use before tuning up their rigs, too many or too few

sunspots causing the solar flux to warp the D layer of the Ionosphere and so

forth ... We shall jump start those tredmill trotting Gerbils with an extra

droplet of caffeine in their morning bowl of Cream Of Wheat so they can keep

the generator that powers the Sunday 20M Ham station spinning at maximum

rpm.

The Pre-Net commences at 12:45 PM EST/EDT, (1645 UTC).

The HHI Net proper begins when I remember to push the button on my talking

24 hour clock and discover that it is 1:15 PM EST/EDT, (1715 UTC).

The frequency will be 14.293 MHZ usb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and a

digital recording one of you guys play with somebody calling "CQ Brussels
calling". Amusing. But hearing the same one week after weeks get

like boring dude! Go record a new one, heh?

Listen for us somewhere from 14.292 MHZ through 14.293 MHZ. Depending on

which direction the splatter is the least, that is where we shall set up

camp! Last Sunday there was some eighteen wheeler on 14.295 splattering +/-6

One of our reliable Ham friends in Florida saw a semi at a Ham Fest with six

heavy duty alternators for sale! He used them to power a 3500 watt linear

amplifier! No wonder we can hear these eighteen wheel rolling 'commercial

broadcast stations' when we can not hear anyone else on the entire 20 meter

bandwidth!

I hope to hear many of you tomorrow, so be there or be a square wave.
