I have the hakko desoldering station, 2 irons, one desoldering iron (not
the pistol).
Love it. Does a great job, but you have the keep the tips clean and
clean the 
hole up the middle.  You have to choose the correct tip.

That's about a hundred dollars, right?  One experienced restorer I  
know swears by his (I think it's a Hakko), and would not be with out  
one.
