I believe that interocitor is correct delineation if one was to use genuine
parts.

Subject: [Hammarlund] SP-600 RF Deck
I would suggest using a good pen soldering iron and not a Weller gun.
A Weller gun does not have a fine enough tip to get into where the RF deck
wiring is located. Be careful to label the leads as you remove them and if
you have a digital camera, take allot of pictures so you can remember how to
put it back together again.
You can cut the leads off at the point where they attach to the tuning
capacitor leads. Make sure you clean up the leads and remove any wire
orphans. They will cause tremendous problems if you do not get all of the
little wire ends out of the tuning deck.
You may need to "wet" (with a solder) the solder connection before removing
the wire.
If you have the means, Chuck Rippel has a great set of CD videos that show
the complete overhaul of a SP-600 and maybe a half-hour covering the removal
and replacement of the RF deck.
