Good Morning List

I have completed tracing the mystery wiring of my avc wiring. I don't
have an accurate diagram of the JX-17 diversity receiver so I have
traced the wiring as it is and transcribed the data to my schematic.
Those of you with the correct wiring diagram can check my work. From
reading the list it appears there are many variants of this beast in
diversity configuration.

Terminal board E-13, it sits between the power supply filter capacitor
and the tuning drum enclosure, has two avc resistors that don't appear
on my schematic. Mine is a phenolic block with two rows of five
connections each. In addition to the two resistors it's the tie point
for the wiring from the r.f. deck, The resistors, one 1 meg and one 3.3
megs are in series. The end of the 1 meg attaches to the avc line
feeding the i.f. strip. The end of the 3.3 meg attaches to the -1 volt
line. At the junction of the two resistors is the take off point for the
r.f. avc.

One other item that is not shown on my schematic is the .25 mf "avc
slow" capacitor. It stands vertically next to the 6C4 BFO oscillator. It
attaches to the i.f. avc line, when selected, through the operator
control knob on the front panel.

p.s. Al, I have looked over the V-11 driver changes you sent me. When
time permits I will try the modification. In a.m. operation the receiver
won't overload as it's currently configured. Listened to the "Grand ole
Opry" last night with a big ground wave signal from WSM, sounded great.
The picken was fine also.
